Update

*Carried the camera around all day today and forgot to take a single picture! Sorry!
*We went out today (after breakfast at 2pm) to wander round town to cure my hormonal moodiness - worked well! Had a shopping splurge at an op-shop and discovered my boyfriend has way better taste and idea of what looks good on me than I do. sigh. Perhaps he's gay? Also bought ourselves coffee - how decadent!
*Still being boring around here - I got the day off on Monday cause it was a bank holiday and we went exploring along the river bank, a dog followed us (we named him Randy cause he was happy and wet) and we threw stones for him. It was a well pretty walk, very Irish/British - countryside and riverbanks and woodlands and even a little ruined castle on the other bank of the river! I'm sure we'll go back, I'll try to remember to take pictures then.
*We booked flights to go to England on September 13th - wow only a month left in Ireland! Our flatmate is going to Turkey soon and won't be back before we leave (we'll see her in London though) so all our flatmates and boys are going out for dinner in a couple of weeks and getting all dressed up posh, yay! You just get settled in then you leave.... ah well bring on travelling!
*Scott quit his work! He finishes in a week and a half and is looking forward to lying around doing nothing (although I have other ideas - cooking, cleaning, washing...)
*That's about all folks! The moon is gorgeous here at the moment, all yellow and huge and hazy. The swans are getting cheekier (less tourists feeding them now I guess they have to be more pushy), Melissa's boyfriend Shane has moved in so now we have electronic music and strange paintings and a fake Roman helmet and a new beanbag.... yay! He's fun if a bit vague.
*Actually the funniest story from the last week or so is probably when we borrowed Melissa's car to go shopping - Scott stalled it on the way, then when he got out of the car he stumbled over his own feet, so I was busy laughing at him and walked smack bang into another parked car, spread-eagled myself across the bonnet! Then it was his turn to laugh. It would have made a great comedy skit, hopefully someone else in the carpark was watching and appreciated it!
*Scott has most definitely been put off having children for a while after entertaining Clara and her friend so that they wouldn't bother me while I was working at home. He made the mistake of swinging them upside down in the hammock, which they then pestered him to do for the rest of the day, and tried to teach them puzzles which was pretty funny. They love him, were climbing all over him, and he was very patient but later on collapsed in a heap! Made me laugh lots though!

At the pub with workmates

One of our workmates left yesterday so we went out to a cool pub I've just discovered called the Blue Note - funky reggae music, great atmosphere, comfy seats, and best of all, no tourists! I do realise that's a bit hypocritical. Anyway, we had a great night, met up with my housemate Ann-Marie there (see the photo of her and her friend Jim from Cork - silliest photo) and Scott came along after work for a drink and to laugh at us tipsy people. It was good to hang out with them outside of work though! My french improves with alcohol. Sorry for experimenting with my camera's night function thing too. Jim was nice too - Ann always seems to have people visiting here, so we know half of Cork now! Went out dancing to an awesome DJ last weekend with some of them (Paddy came back up too, we spent the night bum-pinching and ass-slapping with him, bank st people will be proud!) - Scott is happy that I actually like electronic music if it's decent and we jumped around like mad people. But now the town is overun by fancy-dressed-posh-obnoxious-drunks for race week so I'm staying at home for a while! They're scary!

Silly Photos!

Us running around by the canal near our house after going out for a few drinks on Scott's night off. I discovered my camera has a night-time function that makes crazy photos like this!
